Transport, Hen and Stag Nights

Transport:

There are lots of companies that you can hire cars from for your big day, you can have anything you want from a London bus to a Ferrari. Transport is often tricky and expensive so here are a few tips to help you:

  • How many people will you need to take in the wedding car, bare in mind that most will not take more than four passengers and most Limousines cannot even legally carry more than eight people.
  • Avoid anything to unusual, arriving romantically on a horse or on the back of a motorbike might sound exciting but you don’t want to spend your wedding night in hospital.
  • Do your guests need transport too? If so think about hiring a coach or a mini bus.
  • Is it entirely necessary to hire a car? If you’re trying to keep costs down, find out if you know someone who owns a flashy car, who wouldn’t mind being your chauffer for the day.
  • Remember everyone will be waiting to see you and how fantastic you look, not the car you arrive in.
  • Popular Wedding Cars
Below you will find the most popular modes of transport used for getting to the church / venue, however don't restrict yourself to just the most popular choices. Be imaginative without going over the top and remember to choose something you both want and will enjoy.

  • Hen and Stag nights:

Before your big day you may want to hold the traditional hen or stag night. It is best to hold this event a few weeks before your wedding, to avoid any being a bride with a hangover or marrying a man who still smells of beer
    .
There are now lots of different ways of celebrating hen and stag nights.
Hens you can try spa days, a weekend in the west end at the theatre, or a night out on the tiles.
Stags might want to consider paint balling, a day at the races, or a casino night, the lists are endless and the more imaginative you are the better.
To create a successful Hen/Stag night the key is to be creative, know what your fellow hens or stags would enjoy doing and try to keep the prices down unless your going to foot the bill, remember it’s unfair to expect your guests to spend a fortune on this one night.

Forget about the traditionally booze-soaked night at you local and the ‘last days of freedom’ rubbish! Make your Hen and Stag Do’s original. The choices are endless…how about bungee jumping or even a weekend of competitive sports! Have you thought about a weekend abroad? Hen and stag nights somewhere new are becoming increasingly popular at the moment! It’s a great excuse for you to get away and have some fun! You could soak up the sun in Ibiza or go sight-seeing in Paris! The only down side to this is the expense! Make sure you don’t drop it on your pals at the last minute or you may find yourself on the plane alone.
