More and more people are choosing not to have their weddings in church, this may be because of the restraints a church wedding can place on your day. If you do want to get married in a church you will be expected to be a regular attendee at the church and attend services in the run up to your wedding. You can currently only get married in your own parish church, which is the church closes to your home. For more information contact your local parish priest who will be able to advise you and help you with all aspects of your ceremony.
Remember that a church is a place of worship and while most churches are open to all aspects of modern wedding ceremonies, certain restrictions may apply and should be taken seriously and respectfully.
Below is an example of a standard church wedding service, however you can make as many alterations to your service as you would like just make sure you check with your parish priest before making any final decisions on your order of service.
